The Senior Facilitator & Coach is a key member of the Talent, Learning, and Engagement Team within Western Human Resources supporting organizational development, leadership development, employee engagement measurement, and staff learning initiatives. The Senior Facilitator & Coach is a strategic partner, advisor, project leader, change agent, meeting and learning designer, and facilitator. The role is instrumental in sourcing, planning, designing, delivering and assessing leadership and staff learning, development and engagement measurement initiatives and coaching and supporting subject experts with learning design and delivery. The Senior Facilitator & Coach offers credible, expert guidance to Western’s leaders on topics such as employee engagement, workplace culture, enhancing leadership practice, and increasing team and organizational effectiveness.

You have a strong record of coaching, guiding, and helping leaders to succeed. You thrive in a complex environment, and are inspired by a commitment to the success of your clients and your colleagues, and the achievement of Western’s vision. You have a keen ability to understand client needs, possess sound judgment, and a high level of emotional intelligence. You are able to lead complex initiatives, and at the same time, take equal pleasure in leading from the side and helping others. You have strong systems thinking and assessment skills, proficiency with technology, are able to present clearly, and can facilitate small and large groups effectively in person or virtually. You can successfully champion projects from conception through to implementation.
We want you to be successful, and find the role engaging and rewarding. The preparation we seek:
- a Masters degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, Business, Education, Leaders hip or related field
- 7 years of experience as an organizational development facilitator
- experience leading organizational development initiatives within a large complex environment
- experience designing engaging team development and learning interventions in person and virtually, for small and large groups
- experience coaching and/or delivering learning on a variety of topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, communication skills, change management, process improvement
- experience advising, guiding and consulting with leaders regarding leadership practice and team functioning
Our preferred candidate will also have:
- certification and experience using organizational development instruments such as personality or team assessments, 360 tools, engagement surveys
- certifications in areas such as adult education, facilitation, coaching, instructional design, eLearning
- Certified Human Resources Leader designation
