Position: Staff Supervisor
Reports to: Executive Director
Term: Permanent full-time with a 1 year probationary period
DUTIES:
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising work performance
- Coaches, counsels and disciplines employees
- Develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards
- Ensures a safe, secure and legally compliant workplace
- Actively contributes to team effort
- Assists with labour relations
- Collects, analyzes and reports statistical data to the MCCSS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
- HR designation will be considered an asset
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising in a unionized environment
- French language proficiency will be considered an asset
