Position:  Staff Supervisor

Reports to: Executive Director

Term: Permanent full-time with a 1 year probationary period

DUTIES:

  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising work performance
  • Coaches, counsels and disciplines employees
  • Develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards
  • Ensures a safe, secure and legally compliant workplace
  • Actively contributes to team effort
  • Assists with labour relations
  • Collects, analyzes and reports statistical data to the MCCSS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • HR designation will be considered an asset
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising in a unionized environment
  • French language proficiency will be considered an asset
