Senior Human Resource Professional
Who are we?
Dogico is a small Canadian software development company (dogico.ca) in operation for the last 20 years. We are building the Data Warehouse / BI / Analytics infrastructure for a major Canadian mining company. We are also developing a software product in the mining industry that uses computer vision to monitor a complex conveyor operation.

Number of Position
- One Opening – Part Time – Permanent
- 2 days a week (to be discussed)
- This is not a remote position. You are required to be in our office at least once every two weeks.
Location
- We are in Downtown Toronto (Spadina & Queen).
- The company is currently following all the required Covid guidelines.
What is the project?
Being professionals offering professional services regardless of the size, we want a complete Human Resources function with two specific objectives:
- Gradually put in place all the necessary HR process, policies and procedures suitable for a professional service consulting organisation.
- Ensure every employee can grow professionally and personally as part of the organisation.
What will you do?
- Provide consultation on issues related to legal and procedural compliance, employee/labour relations, workforce planning, talent and performance management, corporate policies, compensation, and organizational development.
- Provides guidance to employees on compensation matters, develops, and updates position descriptions, writes job descriptions, qualification, and experience statements, and recommends rates of pay that align with comparable positions.
- Consult and coach all employees to build and serve high performing, diverse and inclusive teams.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and develop and implement innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Build credibility and trust among employees, resolve employee concerns with compassion and follow-through.
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in Human Resources in an advisory, generalist or senior consulting role.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field is a must.
- Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), CHRP or equivalent or designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPA) is a must .
- Experience in HR practices and knowledge of applicable province/state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to effectively make decisions and resolve problems using professional judgment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Fluency in French is considered an asset.
Work Conditions
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
