WHAT YOU’LL DO:

We have two temporary full-time HR Specialists positions open to support our team and growing hospital.   The HR Specialist is responsible for coordination of several programs, initiatives and associated systems within the Human Resources Division. The primary areas of focus for the HR Specialist include: Talent Acquisition; Learning & Development; Employee & Labour Relations; Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness; Employee Experience; Total Rewards & HR Systems.

One of our HR Specialist positions will focus primarily on Total Rewards and HR Systems.  The other HR Specialist will focus on Labour and Employee Relations.  Both positions are for up to a 12-month contract.

Using highly developed organizational skills, the HR Specialist will negotiate and collaborate with HR partners and team members to connect systems and programs ensuring they work together seamlessly. This position will be an integral contributor to support the achievement of optimal client service delivery throughout the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • A university degree in Human Resources, Business, other related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years’ experience providing HR support
  • Experience in a health care setting is preferred
  • CHRP designation, or eligible candidate is preferred
  • Experience coordinating programs and working with associated systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement and project management
  • Intermediate skills in Windows, & MS Office Suite
  • A broad understanding of all areas of HR, and their interactivity; including but not limited to, Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, labour relations, recruitment & selection principles, compensation & benefits, and organizational theory structure and design
