Duties & Responsibilities

  • Completing full recruitment cycle for all assigned positions including working with hiring managers, posting positions, pre-screening resumes and candidates, co-ordinating interviews, interviewing with hiring managers (if applicable), completing pre-employment checks and making job offers
  • Working with hiring manager to ensure accurate job documentation is in place including creating job postings
  • Proactively identifying and sourcing potential candidates through a variety of means (e.g. could include niche boards, cold calling, job fairs, social media, etc.) 
  • Ensuring qualified internal candidates are identified and provided with the opportunity to participate in the job competition, as appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date candidate status and notes in the ATS for all assigned job requisitions
  • Maintaining regular and informative communications with hiring managers
  • Providing effective coaching to hiring managers, who are at varying levels of understanding and proficiency, in candidate screening, interviewing techniques and selection
  • Contributing to Human Resource Team overall effectiveness by participating in appropriate initiatives / projects

Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years previous corporate recruitment experience (high-volume recruitment experience as asset)
  • Bilingual: French English is highly valued asset
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and strong follow-up skills to get the job done without compromising quality of hire
  • Proven experience and commitment in working with recruitment tools (web based, advertising, etc.) and applicant tracking systems
  • Strong customer focus with the understanding of the importance of keeping hiring managers updated
  • Highly organized with ability to maintain progress on multiple recruitment assignments at stages in the process
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize in an environment with frequent interruptions and multiple demands
  • Excellent professional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise considerable diplomacy, judgment & discretion in establishing and maintaining good relationships at various levels (hiring managers, internal and external candidates, search firm representatives, etc.)
  • Solid communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Outlook)
