KPC Power Electrical Ltd. is seeking a dynamic Human Resources professional looking to build and expand on their career with our growing business. Reporting directly to the Company President, the ideal candidate is highly motivated and self-driven, with exceptional communication skills to effectively build professional relationships with both our field and office teams; ensuring legal compliance and advice to management team on HR best practices.

Skills and Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience
- Proven experience and knowledgeable in employment law, health and safety, recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and organizational planning and development
- Post secondary education in Human Resources; completion of Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, or actively working towards designation
- General knowledge with construction or utility industry a definite asset
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation (Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with complex and confidential matters, maintaining professional composure, tact and diplomacy
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, and work with minimal supervision
- Proficient with MS OFFICE including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
The Role:
- Continuously monitor the company’s human resources program against trends, new industry practices, legislative changes, business changes and exposure changes to ensure that the program stays current and continues to evolve.
- Research, develop and communicate company’s policies to ensure alignment with legislative changes, company objectives and industry standards.
- Oversee the health and safety programs and provide guidance to Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator.
- Manage compensation and benefit programs including regular program review, communication and administration for group benefits and RRSP matching program.
- Responsible for developing, communicating and administering Performance Management process.
- Manage all aspects of employee leaves of absences, including disability and WSIB case management.
- Consult with management and employees on company policies, employee relations and employment law – seek answers to complex matters with support of third-party legal consultant.
- Coordinate and oversee training, certification and staff development in heavily regulated industry.
- Responsible for the full recruitment cycle, including developing job postings, interviewing, counseling managers on candidate selection, contract offer management.
- Maintain employee records, analyze employee metrics and develop reports, update organizational charts and job descriptions.
