Responsibilities Include: 

  • Engage, source, screen and pre-qualify talent to support recruiters that own requisitions.       (The Recruiter owns the requisition and relationship with the regions, however on occasion, business needs may also dictate requisition ownership) 

  • Development and execution of sourcing strategy plans, with joint accountability (with the recruiters) for stated hiring objectives and results.

  • Compliance with and consistent usage of all available systems, tools, standards and processes to meet all defined measures and service level expectations: (BrassRing, Avature, LinkedIn etc.).

  • Stay informed of current market and industry trends to innovate and implement sourcing processes, tactics and strategies to deliver consistent results with A+ service.

  • Effectively build relationships by executing on sourcing strategies as well as manage a pipeline of candidates that fully understand the Financial Advisor role and Edward Jones.

  • Effectively overcome objections from candidates, Recruiting Leaders, Financial Advisors, BOAs and Headquarter Associates as they pertain to recruiting and hiring for the Financial Advisor opportunity.

  • Provide support/back-up to the Recruiting Coordinator function as needed, including supporting candidates through the interview process, offer acceptance, onboarding and reporting (based on request from the Talent Acquisition Manager).  This could also include specific role functions or full oversight if the Recruiting Coordinator is out for an extended period.

  • Articulate the firm's culture, business model, growth objectives, and recruiting/hiring best practices to prospective candidates, Regional Leaders, Recruiting Leaders, Financial Advisors, BOAs and Headquarter associates.

  • Position Requirements: 

    • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience in a related position

    • 4+ years experience in Sourcing, Recruiting, Hiring, and/or Related Sales

    • Completion of Canadian Securities Course helpful, but not required

    • Bilingual English & French or English/Cantonese or Mandarin desired, but not required

    • Intermediate knowledge of the financial services industry.

    • Strong attention to detail as the sourcing specialist will be making evaluations of candidates and will need to know all aspects of the candidate and the process to ensure quality decisions are being made.

    • Ability to execute seasoned judgment so that we are following all employment laws human rights legislation and firm guidelines.

    • Effective time-management and organizational skills with a high sense of urgency and the ability to handle working in a fast-paced, high volume metrics driven environment with performance objectives.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate professional and engaging recruiting and hiring conversations with candidates, Regional Leaders, Recruiting Leaders, Financial Advisors, Branch Office Administrators and Headquarter associates.

    • Ability to be proficient in the use of the web-based technology, MS office, and other talent acquisition specific systems such as the applicant tracking system and RCMS.

    • Requires the ability to review and interpret information from the candidate data such as lead information, applicant tracking notes, application details, a personality profile, a telephone interview, and a face to face interview.

    • Must be able to probe and listen for recruiting objections from prospective candidates and offer resolution suggestions.

    • Critical thinking skills and sound business judgement required to effectively prioritize the work involved in a high volume, fast paced environment.

    • Ability to screen and analyze information about a candidate's interest, qualifications and desire to be successful with the Financial Advisor opportunity. 

    • A high level of autonomy is required to execute on sourcing strategies.

    • An ability to work independently and make decisions yet provide support to a team atmosphere is essential.
