About the Position

If you have a generalist background in Human Resources and want to be in a role where you will take point on providing HR support to our laboratories across Eastern Canada, this is the role for you!

 

The HR Generalist role works closely with both the HR and Payroll teams to support employees and managers in a variety of areas such as employee relations, performance management, compensation, learning & development and employee engagement.  Because our business is seasonal, this role involves a high level of recruiting for part of the year and is responsible for full cycle recruitment across multiple sites in a fast-paced, high volume recruitment environment.

As an integral part of the Human Resources team, you will be a champion of HR strategies and initiatives while partnering with the local management team to support strategic business needs.

 

About you

The ideal candidate has:  

  • A keen desire to work in a true generalist capacity;
  • A willingness to learn on the job with training provided;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources role, preferably at the coordinator or advisory level;
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources of equivalent experience;
  • Provincial HR designation preferred or working towards designation;
  • The ability to multi-task and keep organized in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; coupled with the ability to quickly build stakeholder relationships;
  • Effective communication skills in order to convey a consistent professional image;
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
