About the opportunity

Reporting to the Director, this role will advocate for CPA Canada's team members, analyze employee engagement metrics, partner with cross-functional team members and team leads to develop and plan programs and strategies that improve overall employee experience across CPA Canada.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will:  

  • Performs role in a manner that is reflective of CPA Canada’s Core Values, within regulatory requirements and company policies, programs and expectations
  • Design, evolve, and manage programs designed to enhance employee engagement, recognition, employee value proposition and satisfaction, applying data for continuous improvement
  • Use data, analysis, and trends to identify high impact employee engagement opportunities and develop strategies for improvement
  • Build a roadmap of events and projects designed to develop a purpose-driven culture
  • Conceptualize and implement an internal, cross-functional culture champions program to determine goals, manage budget, and work on employee engagement events and programs
  • Conceptualize and implement employee voice & value listening sessions across the organization, documenting results; strategize and implement solutions based on insights and organizational strategic direction
  • Partner with Talent function to advise on Leadership programs and improve strategies on the engagement of individual People Leader teams
  • Partner with the People & Culture Internal Communications team to use appropriate channels of engagement and build interest for special events and projects
  • Complete tasks and special projects, including preparing presentations and meeting materials, as assigned by the Director

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Management, or other related disciplines
  • Professional qualification CHRP / CHRL
  • Minimum 7 + years progressive program development/employee engagement experience
  • Strong verbal and written English language communication skills, bilingualism considered an asset;
  • Successful track record (4+ years) of conceiving and implementing programs related to Employee Experience, Culture and Engagement
  • Program management expertise in building and scaling human resource programs that involve change management, measurable outcomes and partners
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain a high level of credibility and integrity at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong facilitation, listening, and consultation skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects, achieve results, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and function in a team environment, multitask and respond to changing needs
  • Well-developed generalist knowledge of Human Resources Management, Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation in Canada
