Trane Technologies is looking for an HR Generalist to join the Human Resources team in Eastern Canada! This role supports a wide range of HR related functions for both commercial sales and service and manufacturing, including staffing and onboarding, data analysis and administration, learning and development. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys a fast pace and desire to grow. We are looking for someone who can leverage their HR knowledge and be an impactful partner to support a high-performance workplace culture.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity. 

Responsibilities: 

  • As an HR Generalist, this role will have a heavy focus on hourly and salaried nonexempt recruiting for the Brampton, ON based manufacturing facility.  Partners with hiring managers in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding employees; provides tools / resources to new employees on culture, company and groups.
  • Active engagement in overall talent practices including: workforce planning, success profiling, on-boarding, talent development and management, retention, and engagement programs. Coaches and counsels leaders on talent management practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of learning and development processes and programs across the region, in alignment with business needs and strategy
  • Support the execution of the Early Talent Strategy as it relates to recruiting, development and onboarding.
  • Demonstrates awareness of the cross-cultural impact of HR processes, coaches managers on the positive impact of a progressive, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitors employee climate to identify issues/trends; counsel managers on identifying issues and implementing corrective actions, while also seeing opportunities to increase engagement.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and interprets HR related data for report generation and management decision making; links HR action plans with business needs.
  • Acts as employee advocate through effective employee relations.
  • Will work on several HR special projects supporting the strategic business unit.

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in Human Resources function.
  • Bachelor’s degree required,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner and build relationships with all levels of associates and stakeholders.
  • Detail-orientated, organized, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with a team.
  • Broad HR Generalist skills including: compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, recruiting, learning and development provincial employment law knowledge preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Taleo from a recruiting standpoint is a plus.
