Location: The incumbent will work remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. As return-to-office initiatives occur, the incumbent will transition to work from the Canadian Corporate Office in Mississauga, Ontario.

This is a Contract position for approximately 12 months.

Reports To: Human Resources Business Partner, Canada

Travel Requirements (Post-COVID): up to 10% travel required within Canada.

The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for strategically partnering with hiring managers to ensure the Company’s current and future staffing needs are met, with a specific emphasis on skilled trades workers. The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for talent acquisition, developing a relationship with educational institutions and public organizations, determining recruitment trends and forecasting, and working with hiring managers to recruit talent throughout Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • CHRP Designation a definite asset
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in recruitment is required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Extensive experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment practices and legislation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Works with Hiring Managers to determine appropriate staffing levels and forecast short-term and long-term needs
  • Partners with outside organizations and educational institutions for talent acquisition initiatives, with a specific emphasis on targeting skilled trades workers
  • Participates in career fairs, networking events, and other external activities to attract and recruit talent
  • Performs full-cycle recruitment initiatives, including: determining staffing needs with the hiring managers, posting vacancies internally and externally, screening applicants, conducting phone interviews, conducting reference and background checks, and acting as a liaison between the candidates and hiring managers to arrange in-person interviews
  • Assists with the onboarding process
  • Moves candidates through the workflow in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Working in conjunction with Management, assists in developing strategies to reduce turn-over and increase employee engagement
  • Develops presentations and reports which analyzes workforce planning and recruitment data
  • Conducts administrative functions as assigned and/or required
