Job Summary

The role requires a leader with a strong understanding of People and Culture (PC) operations, excellent communication/relationship skills and outstanding people leadership ability. Leveraging their proven Process Leadership and Continuous Improvement skills, the Manager of PC Operations will be responsible for improvement activities, driving operational performance and service excellence creating the platform that will help evolve the PC Operating Model.

Roles And Responsibilities

 

Innovation
 

  • Provide thought leadership and guidance around advancing new PC technologies and capabilities that are value-driven and create operational efficiencies; remain current with industry advancements in Human Resources and continuously innovate

 

Data Analytics
 

  • Collaborate with PC senior leadership team and divisional leaders to deliver data and analytics that drive business value
  • Develop meaningful metrics that tell a story and provide meaningful insights through data
  • Maintain data integrity of PC systems through pro-active means (audits, queries, etc.).
  • Ensure data infrastructure supports future growth and integration of data for analytical insights

 

Continuous Improvement
 

  • Drive initiatives to optimize PC technologies, systems and platforms to eliminate manual work, drive efficiency, improve processes and find alignment within our PC systems

 

Partnerships
 

  • Build excellent relationships across all businesses, specifically partnering with PC, and IT to develop and manage People systems technology investment and implementation.
  • Work closely with support staff (PC, Finance, IT and other business leaders) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.
  • Actively seeks solutions and provides trends & feedback to the operations manager and senior management team to drive technology and operational improvements; interface effectively with internal development teams and service owners
  • Manage work with the PC team to develop communications strategies and training material to create alignment, understanding and adoption of systems
  • In collaboration with the PC Business Partners, responsibility for the ongoing management of PC policies and implementation of changes and updates to ensure they reflect regulatory requirements and business needs

 

Controls
 

  • Ensure PC Operations' audits and control processes are developed and followed in compliance with external regulations, and internal policies and procedures
  • Ensure process documentation, work instructions, and all other supporting documentation is developed in preparation to successfully support the PC IT strategy
  • Stay connected to the marketplace for opportunities to remain competitive with system enhancements, upgrades or new vendors and improve overall effectiveness
  • Colloberate the rollout of new technologies and manage system administration and governance of PC systems including ongoing compliance work

 

People Management
 

  • Develop the PC Operations function and team to ensure deeper bench strength and key areas of expertise
  • Provide strong team leadership to motivate and develop individual and team performance
  • Foster and develop a strong, positive team environment, driving empowerment, innovation and a high level of engagement
  • Exhibit an ability to listen, negotiate and communicate goals; share knowledge, experience and responsibility with team to achieve the highest standards of professionalism
  • Instill a service mindset in team members when working with all business partners and stakeholders
  • Ensure the performance management process is in place and employee development is a priority for all employees on the team
  • Regularly schedule one-on-one coaching with direct reports
  • Manage staffing requirements and departmental workloads

 

Qualifications
 

  • Advanced analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • 10 years as an PC Professional
  • Must be a quick learner and a creative thinker
  • Must possess excellent organizational/time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead the team
