Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the full scope of Human Resources activities including:

  • recruiting and staffing;
  • organizational departmental planning;
  • performance management and improvement systems;
  • organization development;
  • employment and regulatory compliance ;
  • employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training;
  • policy development and documentation;
  • employee relations;
  • company-wide committee facilitation;
  • company employee and community communication;
  • compensation and benefits administration;
  • employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health;
  • employee services and counseling.


 

Requirements:
 

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, working towards your CHRP  or CHRL designation
  • 5 years or more of experience in a Human Resources Manager role, ideally in a progressive manufacturing environment, or with multi-divisional responsibilities
  • Experience leading a team of HR professionals
  • Able to be empathetic and know when to take a firm approach
  • Ability to be agile in thinking and approach to issues – not a black and white thinker
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
  • Stellar written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a group setting
  • Comfort and familiarity with HR software, solid computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills and social aptitude
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude
  • Self-starter, able to work independently.
