Scheduling Coordinator

The Scheduling Coordinator ensures that required staff are scheduled in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with collective agreements and hospital policies. Duties include: creation and extrapolation of electronic master schedules, posting of staff schedules, daily coordination of staffing for assigned departments, and completing all payroll entries for assigned departments at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC).  Additional duties include providing general administrative assistance to Human Resources including special projects.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

College Diploma or Certification in Office Administration, Human Resources or Business related studies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

2-3 years recent staff scheduling experience in accordance with Collective Agreements in a healthcare setting.

One year administrative experience in a Health Care Environment with specific experience having worked with multi-disciplinary teams

Ability to work independently, demonstrating  initiative in a high volume, busy work environment requiring flexibility, adaptability and critical prioritization skills

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

Excellent knowledge and interpretation of Collective Agreements

Familiarity with hospital staffing and staffing patterns

Proficient computer skills having worked with software programs including Scheduling Software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook

Excellent keyboarding and word processing skills
