Who you'll work with As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will be part of a 3 person coordination team reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition.  As part of your role, you will be responsible for supporting both regular and campus recruitment, coordinating  & planning all talent acquisition events, and primarily supporting the Talent and Senior Talent Acquisition Specialists with requests that come through our centralized talent acquisition inbox. We are currently located at 5650 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario. However, as a result of COVID-19, this is temporarily a remote role. In 2023, we will be moving to a new location in downtown Toronto!

 

 

 

What you'll do

  • Support Talent/Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialists by providing exceptional service and seamless coordination with their talent acquisition requests.
  • Managing the talent acquisition inbox on assigned day(s) and assigning requests to other coordinators/taking on requests which could include: interview scheduling, case studies, greeting candidates (when we are back in the office) and providing timely updates to all stakeholders
  • Support TA/Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialists with sourcing and screening as required to support recruitment operations
  • Identifying and pipelining strong talent using passive sourcing techniques such as LinkedIn recruiter
  • Ensuring the Internal Career Opportunities email blast is sent each Monday in accordance with our Internal Posting Guidelines and Collective Agreement.
  • Prepare positions for postings (including LMIA positing requirements) and support various branding and social sourcing strategies
  • Support campus recruitment which includes: conducting intakes with hiring managers, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, extending and preparing offers.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Ontario Teachers’ and plan, coordinate, and execute on various internal and external events such as:  information sessions, marquee global events, Take our Kids to Work day, and internal webinars and exclusive events for our students.
  • Liaise with key campus contacts to create partnerships and ensure that jobs are posted within the various school’s deadlines
  • Initiate background checks for all hires via Workday (HireRight) and acting as a primary contact to an assigned TA/Sr. TA Specialist(s) and escalating related issues to the Senior Manager as required
  • Provide general administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team including meeting minutes, invoice tracking and recruitment reporting including quarterly statistics to Stats Canada
  • Other duties as assigned

   

 

  What you'll need

  • Minimum of 1 year of Talent Acquisition coordination experience
  • Post-secondary education, completion of or working towards CHRP as asset
  • Solid attention to detail, organized, and thorough.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Effectively able to plan and set priorities
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to recognize and react appropriately to confidential situations
  • Previous experience with an Applicant Tracking System is an asset
