People Transformation Change Manager
The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about change and who wants to contribute to Ontario Teachers’ culture transformation. Culture is a critical component of the Teachers 3.0 enterprise strategy and this role will have a direct opportunity to contribute to the cultivation of our desired culture through involvement in P&C projects and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
Who you'll work with
As a member of our award-winning People & Culture team, reporting to the Director, People Transformation, you will partner closely with initiative leaders in P&C and across the business as well as members of the internal communications team to develop and deliver transformational change plans. You will also partner across P&C and specifically with People Advisory, Talent, People Operations and Global Total Rewards as well as with external consultants from time to time. Depending on the size and level of complexity of the change initiative, there may be a People Transformation Change Management Lead assigned, providing guidance and oversight to the change program.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute change management strategies and plans in support of People & Culture projects and enterprise-wide transformational change initiatives; deliverables may include leadership alignment activities, communications plans, training plans, and sustainability plans
- Play a key role in ensuring projects and transformational change initiatives meet desired business outcomes through the application of an effective change management approach and methodology
- Develop scalable processes and tools to deliver pragmatic change solutions
- Identify potential people, culture, and organizational impacts, understand how work may change, and barriers that must be overcome (including any behavioral shifts required)
- Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into project plans
- Provide advice and guidance to business partners regarding standard methodologies in organizational change management to assist with discussions and decision-making
- Evaluate and ensure change readiness throughout the project
- Develop effective communication strategies and plans to ensure impacted partners are aware of changes and associated impacts relevant to them
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
- Provide consistent communication to key partners to ensure alignment
What you'll need
- Relevant university degree
- Demonstrated success and expertise in change management principles and methodologies
- Genuine passion for transformational change and a solid understanding of organizational culture and behaviours
- Experience in operating model and organizational design related work, as well as employee engagement and strategic planning would be beneficial
- Strategic and solutions focused with a simple and practical approach when executing
- Decisive, confident, resilient and able to deal with ambiguity
- Outstanding project management skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Experience working in the financial services industry is an asset
