HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Payroll Support - You will perform a variety of activities to support the Payroll Specialist including payroll processing for multiple pay groups, preparing tax forms, assisting with payroll audits and month-end reporting, processing monthly bank deposits, responding to payroll inquiries, and providing backup coverage as needed.

HR & Total Rewards Coordination - You will assist with the execution of our HR and total rewards activities, including but not limited to: Coordinating total rewards initiatives such as awareness campaigns, education sessions, and training Preparing general letters, memos, reports, presentations, and system updates as required Supporting the creative development and delivery of employee communications to promote total rewards programs Partnering with various HR teams to support the effective delivery of programs and initiatives Assisting with documentation management, invoicing & budgeting, and other ad hoc total rewards projects as required.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required: Post-secondary education in Payroll, Human Resources, or related field 3-5 years of experience processing payroll Experience supporting human resources with a preference in total rewards (benefits, pension, compensation, wellness, etc.). Please note that this role does not involve plan administration but experience in this area is an asset. Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new software applications quickly Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is a must Strong written communication skills to effectively prepare compelling employee communications with a high degree of creativity Results-oriented, effective time management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and demonstration of intellectual curiosity

Bonus Points:

  • Professional Association designation/certifications in Payroll or Human Resources (e.g. CPA, CHRP, CHRL)
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce and SAP Success Factors
  • Knowledge of provincial laws and legislation across Canada
  • Consumer packaged goods industry experience
