JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to add to our team a person who is passionate about human resources management. This is an 18-month maternity leave replacement with a strong potential for tenure as the company grows. He or she will be in charge of all aspects of human resources management for our Brampton plant and will remotely support our Boston Plant. A Human Resources Advisor at Gelpac is a carrier of the company's mission, vision, and values. He or she works in close collaboration with the Vice-President of Human Resources and the Production Managers to develop good human resource management practices and improve occupational health and safety practices within our Brampton and Boston plants. The employee participates in the development of the department, in the process of acquiring new talents and in offering tools and support to our managers in place.

 

PROFILE SOUGHT

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or industrial relations
  • Professional experience in human resources management within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in talent acquisition
  • Perfectly fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Understanding and speaking the French language (Asset)

 

MAIN TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent acquisition

  • Implementing strategies to increase the company's visibility
  • Target the specificities of each plant according to the reality of its sector in order to adapt the recruitment strategies
  • Coordinate the entire recruitment process, from job posting to candidate selection and contract signing
  • Follow-up on the onboarding process for new employees

Human Resources Management

  • Coordinate corporate events for employees
  • Implement recognition incentives
  • Offer coaching to our managers in place
  • Coordinate OHS improvement projects
  • Coordinate internal and external training
  • Manage group insurance and work accident files
  • Participate in the improvement of the company's KPIs in terms of human resources
  • Be an ambassador of the company's values
  • Be a positive leader in terms of health and safety in the workplace
  • Coordinate OHS improvement projects
  • Manage disciplinary files
