They will recommend strategies, policies, procedures and initiatives to enhance the AGO’s safety and wellness objectives to align with corporate strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator who is capable of fostering strong relationships across the organization. He/She/They will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong expertise in successfully developing and implementing policies, processes and programs in the areas of Safety & Wellness.
  • Thorough understanding and proficiency in managing return to work and accommodation situations to support reintegration back into the workplace.
  • Superior leadership skills in guiding teams, collaborating across levels, thriving in diverse workplaces and building impactful partnerships internally and externally.
  • Thorough understanding and interpretation of related legislation, regulations, best practices and trends in the areas of safety, wellness, human rights, labour relations and employment standards.

  • Knowledge and experience in managing budgets to make decisions on where to wisely use resources.
  • Familiarity with unionized environments and non-profit organizations is an asset.

We invite individuals who reflect the diversity of our visitors to apply by submitting a tailored cover letter and CV via our website: https://ago.ca/jobs-and-volunteering. We thank all applicants but must advise that only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
