Over the last 40 years, Gastops has built a robust business which is recognized worldwide for its innovative contributions to equipment health management in the aviation, energy, marine, industrial and transportation industries. Gastops’ products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in-service operations and support.  We design, manufacture and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Talent Acquisition Specialist (12-Month Contract) will report to the HR Manager and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on supporting the growth of the organization. 

What You’ll Do:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be part of Human Resources team with the primary responsibility of performing all aspects of recruitment and staffing for various client groups.  You will:

Recruitment:

·     Advise hiring managers on full-cycle recruitment, collaborate on job details, and advise on effective candidate assessments

·     Deliver end-to-end search on active roles, including developing job-based recruitment strategies

·     Perform phone screens, shortlists of candidates, conduct and led the interview process, manage debriefs discussions and offer processes

·     Demonstrate high quality service to provide client service excellence to all candidates

·     Work closely with assigned client groups and HRM through ongoing communication in order to proactively develop an execute effective recruitment strategies

·     Use a variety of proactive sourcing methods to continually build and maintain a talent pool – both now and for the future

Marketing/Advertising:

·     Increase Gastops’ brand to reach a broader and wider market of candidates

·     Finding new, innovating, and creative ways to make Gastops and appealing and desirable company to work for

·     Collaborate with the HRM to develop a recruitment campaign for Gastops, including the Campus programs in order to build the talent pool

Social Media:

·     Work with Marketing to increase Gastops Employer Value Proposition across various channels (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

Who You Are:

·     5 + years of full-cycle recruitment for in a rapidly growing organization working on roles across various departments and levels

·     Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset

·     Experienced working on a minimum of 10 – 15 open roles simultaneously

·     Have a passion and focus for recruitment with a solid understand of business operations

·     Proven success using a variety of sourcing strategies including proactive sourcing techniques

·     Proven, outside the box, self-driven sourcing skills to attract “hire to find talent”

·     Ability to build confidence and strong partnerships with hiring managers

·     Experience with ADP WorkforceNow is an asset

·     Working toward CHRP is an asset

What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will have a Post-Secondary education in Human Resources, General Arts, Business Administration or other related program with at least 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a related role.  Additionally, you should have:

·     High motivation with results-oriented focus

·     Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

·     Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills

·     Excellent communication skills (oral and written) 

·     Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance
