ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT


Permanent Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Mississauga, ON

ErinoakKids is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Human Resources team. Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Organizational Development Consultant will support the goals and objectives of the organization by leading and managing the learning and development portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, deliver/facilitate and evaluate organizational development activities to meet the long term and short term needs of individual employees, departments, and the organization as a whole in support of the strategic direction of ErinoakKids;
  • Work with management and other key stakeholders to understand learning and organizational development needs, and supports the organization through the development of targeted initiatives;
  • Support the learning needs assessment and analysis process, the resulting content design and delivery of key learning initiatives;
  • Support the organization's overall leadership development strategy around activities including leadership coaching and leadership program/workshop design and facilitation;
  • Benchmark and evaluate the effectiveness of staff learning and development programs and recommend appropriate measures when necessary to adjust misalignment and incorporate continuous improvements;
  • Assist with new policy and process development and implementation as well as making recommendations for improvements in alignment with the hospital’s overall organizational strategy;
  • Employ innovative and progressive learning and organizational development practices to support the strategic growth of both the organization and its people;
  • Provide recommendation for practices for learning, organizational development and staff engagement;
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in developing and managing organizational development/learning initiatives required; experience in the health care sector preferred;
  • University degree or College diploma in Business, Human Resources, Education or a related field;
  • Experience working within a Human Resources department preferred; CHRL designation is considered an asset;
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to innovate and interact with others effectively cross functionally and at all levels of the organization;
  • Superior facilitation and presentation skills;
  • Strong consultative skills and ability to follow up with sound recommendations;
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the capacity to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner;
  • Self-starter, comfortable working both independently and within a team environment;
  • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, sound judgment and sensitivity.
