Compensation Consultant

 Position summary                                                           

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent analytical skills, be detail oriented and have strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.  You will be instrumental in partnering with HR team to provide excellent compensation consulting to various departments in support of BrokerLink’s strategic direction.

What you will be doing:

• Supporting organization-wide compensation programs (incentive plans, merit, pay equity, etc.) This includes managing compensation guidelines, plan design/setup, templates, etc. as well as drafting and presenting related training and communications materials
• Providing advice, guidance and recommendations to HR and management on a variety of compensation matters
• Preparing and presenting creative reports, tools, and solutions such as cost modelling analysis and projections that respond to specific business needs
• Performing job evaluations and market survey analysis and presenting recommendations that ensure total cash compensation is internally equitable and market competitive
• Periodically audit and recommend improvements to various HR and Total Rewards programs to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and objectives
• May assist with other HR projects and programs as required

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, HR or a related field
• 3-5 years experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on Compensation or similar analytical field
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP/Index Match, IF function, pivot tables, etc.
• Knowledge of UKG Pro or Workday (asset)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with ability to develop/update reports and modeling tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
