BrokerLink is hiring a self-motivated Compensation Consultant to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for partnering with the HR team to provide advice on day-to-day compensation matters in addition to playing a key role in managing various compensation programs and projects. Position summary
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent analytical skills, be detail oriented and have strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities. You will be instrumental in partnering with HR team to provide excellent compensation consulting to various departments in support of BrokerLink’s strategic direction.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting organization-wide compensation programs (incentive plans, merit, pay equity, etc.) This includes managing compensation guidelines, plan design/setup, templates, etc. as well as drafting and presenting related training and communications materials
- Providing advice, guidance and recommendations to HR and management on a variety of compensation matters
- Preparing and presenting creative reports, tools, and solutions such as cost modelling analysis and projections that respond to specific business needs
- Performing job evaluations and market survey analysis and presenting recommendations that ensure total cash compensation is internally equitable and market competitive
- Periodically audit and recommend improvements to various HR and Total Rewards programs to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and objectives
- May assist with other HR projects and programs as required
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, HR or a related field
- 3-5 years experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on Compensation or similar analytical field
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP/Index Match, IF function, pivot tables, etc.
- Knowledge of UKG Pro or Workday (asset)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with ability to develop/update reports and modeling tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
