Reporting to the Financial Controller and the Director of Human Resources, the Payroll and Human Resources Administrator is a passionate individual supporting the provision of Payroll and HR services to the Leaders and Employees of MaxSold.

  In this growth focused role, the Payroll and Human Resources Administrator will:

 

 

  • Maintain payroll and human resources records by collecting, calculating and entering data.

     

    Update payroll and human resources records by entering new hires, terminations and changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department / division transfers.

     

    Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and non-taxable wages.

     

    Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. 

     

    Provide policy guidance and  information by answering questions and requests.

     

    Assist with onboarding and orienting new employees.

     

    Accomplish Payroll and HR department mission and goals by completing related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • 1-3  years of payroll and HR experience 

     

    Diploma / degree in accounting and / or Human Resources or related field

     

    Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

     

    Ability to take initiative and approach new tasks with enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit 

     

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

     

    Exceptional analytical and organizational skills

     

  • Self-motivated, ambitious and driven to meet deadlines

     

  • Comfortable with technology – able to learn to use new programs

     

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

     

  • Strong active listening skills, ability to demonstrate empathy while building rapport

     

  • Comfortable using Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and payroll/HRM systems

     

  • Strong problem-solving skills

     

    Experience in supporting employees in a precarious working environment will be considered an asset
