The opportunity

We are looking for a seasoned Talent Specialist to contribute to the execution of our world-class talent strategy. This includes the delivery of critical Talent priorities and processes, Teachers’ Academy, and key talent offerings that include Talent Review, Learning, Leadership Development and Talent Selection.
Who you'll work with
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Programs, the Talent Specialist will work closely with our Talent team and other People & Culture professionals to support the execution of Talent priorities, programs and processes, including Talent Review, Learning, Leadership Development and Talent Selection.
What you'll do
- Support the deployment of Teachers’ Academy, our marquis investment focused on driving culture and capability across the enterprise in support of our strategy
- Partner with the talent team and P&C business partners in administering the Talent Review process across the enterprise
- Manage the delivery of the enterprise-wide onboarding program for newly hired employees
- Manage the deployment of the CFA preparatory program
- Support the talent team in deployment of SuccessFinder and other psychometric and development assessment tools for selection and development purposes
- Serve as primary point of contact for HR technology functionality requirements including Workday (Recruiting and Talent modules), Cornerstone, Degreed; partner with Technology and People Operations to address functionality requirements and enhancements
- Raise and address issues related to data integrity in OTPP Talent systems
- Conduct research into leading practices on talent-related topics and solutions
- Additional duties as assigned
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience, preferably in Human Resources, Talent or Learning/Leadership Development
- University degree in a related field
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence to establish trust, maintain confidential information and foster strong relationships
- Demonstrates a passion for continuous learning
- Ability to solve problems by engaging with relevant stakeholders
- Comfortable cultivating relationships inside and outside of the organization
- Ability to commit to and follow through on deliverables
- Ability to manage cross-organizational projects
- Work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced and agile environment
- Positive, optimistic outlook and a partnership mindset
- Keeps current on industry trends, best practices and cutting-edge approaches
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in Workday, Cornerstone and Degreed an asset
- Certified Human Resources Profession (CHRP) or Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) is an asset
