Human Resources Generalist
Reporting to the Office Manager, the Human Resources Generalist
Responsibilities:
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
- Assist department managers with recruitment, progressive discipline, and terminations.
- Coordinate enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
- Respond to all human resources-related inquiries.
- Coordinate all WSIB claims.
- Participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee.
- Tracks employee attendance and vacations.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Process complaints regarding workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Ideally has 2 to 3 years of human resources experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
- Must be a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or making substantial progress towards obtaining certification.
