Human Resources Generalist 

 

Reporting to the Office Manager, the Human Resources Generalist 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements. 
  • Assist department managers with recruitment, progressive discipline, and terminations. 
  • Coordinate enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs. 
  • Respond to all human resources-related inquiries. 
  • Coordinate all WSIB claims. 
  • Participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee. 
  • Tracks employee attendance and vacations. 
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies. 
  • Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation. 
  • Process complaints regarding workplace harassment and  assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions. 
  • Maintain employee personnel records. 
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary. 
  • Ideally has 2 to 3 years of human resources experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Must be a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or making substantial progress towards obtaining certification.
