In this role, you will provide support and work on a variety of projects and initiatives during a time of growth and innovation.

Who you'll work with

Reporting to the Director, People Operations, this role will work closely with members of the business, P&C Business Partners, People Operations and COEs. You will partner on key initiatives and support the delivery of day-to-day activities such as: compiling data for analysis and populating presentation frameworks for talent programs, governing the workforce plan and related activities in Workday, and actioning organizational changes in Workday as required.

What You’ll Do

  • Build & maintain meaningful relationships with key collaborating members that include but not limited to P&C Business Partners and Managers, Finance and Budget coordinators to support the delivery and adoption of key People & Culture initiatives
  • Participate and support P&C Business Partners, People Operations and COE’s to operationally prepare for successful rollouts of annual programs (talent review, year-end compensation cycle, goal setting, annual workforce planning etc.) and other initiatives
  • Build consistent and vital tools to deliver on requirements and partner with People Operations team to define and detail consistent processes
  • Monitor the workforce plan in Workday through position management and ensure governance of data, ensuring vacant positions are actioned or triaged accordingly by either the manager, Talent Acquisition or the P&C Business Partner
  • Action all Workday activities as it relates to departures, position management organizational restructuring, manager alignment etc. and assess data for accuracy
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis as required for client groups dealing directly with the business stakeholder and P&C business partner ranging on multiple systems such as Workday, Peakon, Power BI etc.
  • Act as a change agent in communicating & implementing Employee and Manager Self Service in Workday partnering with People Operations to identify improvements
  • Respond to general employee relations inquiries e.g. mentor leaders on P&C tools and programs, answer general program inquiries, raising accordingly to other P&C team members where required
  • Support and lead any other projects as assigned by the Director, People Operations and P&C Business Partners

What you’ll need

  • University Degree or equivalent experience combined with appropriate level of validated business insight with a focus on business administration and/or human resource management
  • Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience as a generalist
  • Minimum 3 year Workday experience on position/workforce management, job changes and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to tie back to the business acumen
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, agile environment
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to investigate facts, analyze and synthesize information, interpret policy and precedents in order to develop appropriate strategies and recommendations to address issues
  • Familiarity with employment standards & labour law
  • CHRP designation is an asset
  • Proven emotional intelligence to establish trust, maintain confidential information and cultivate positive relationships with business leaders, employees and People & Culture colleagues
