Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, HR Technology & Operations, the Senior Analyst will assist with day-to-day configuration and support of Workday and other talent management and survey tools. The role will support the execution of cyclical HR activities, and provide configuration and testing assistance related to HR systems enhancements and implementations. Additionally, the role will focus on the execution of ongoing HR system administration activities, including modifications to reports and existing system configuration settings. The incumbent will support the team inquiries inbox and will have the opportunity to work with other teams within and outside of HR to support HR systems and process enhancement projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the HR Technology & Operations team with cyclical system administration tasks related to HR Programs. Examples include: Performance Reviews, Talent Assessments, Succession Planning, 360 Reviews and Surveys, Year-end process, Policy Reviews, etc.
  • Address system-related questions through troubleshooting, configuration and design of business processes, workflow, security, and report modifications.
  • Engage external vendors to troubleshoot configuration requirements, as needed
  • Participate in enhancement projects related to our HR systems, including definition of business requirements and user acceptance testing activities
  • Design and configure system reports and dashboards in Workday
  • Conduct regular analysis to ensure data accuracy, including vlookups, leveraging reports for data reconciliation efforts and random spot-checks of HR data
  • Document and maintain business user guides for various system, including training material for business users across CPP Investments
  • Look for efficiency gains in our processes and work with team members to execute
  • Provide support for the input of daily transactions into our HR systems as required

Initiatives support

  • Assist in optimizing Workday or other systems functionality by evaluating our current and desired business processes/rules and system capabilities
  • Work on system module implementation projects. Projects could include enhancements to existing setup as well as introducing new functionality through configuration of performance and time off plans, talent profile elements and reports
  • Participate in business acceptance testing activities, including business functionality, integrations, and reports/ dashboards
  • Identify people, processes, and system changes required to improve processes and understand and manage the end-to-end flow of HR data across multiple systems
  • Look for efficiency and enhancement opportunities and work with others to roll out process and/ or system changes
  • Participate in systems training development and document and maintain business user guides for various systems, including training delivery for business users across HR and the organization

Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role.   

Other position requirements:

  • Experience with Workday HCM configuration is required
  • Experience with Workday Talent functional areas including configuration of performance reviews, talent assessment and succession is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Workday Reporting, Absence Management, Time Tracking and Learning is valued
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities and with time-sensitive deadlines
  • Very detail-oriented with a solid track record of achieving high quality results
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Experience with PeopleFluent, Qualtrics, SmartRecruiters would be an asset
  • Proven ability to maintain sensitive and highly confidential information
  • Ability to independently produce discrete pieces of work
  • Ability to clearly define and articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions
  • Collaborate across the organization and demonstrate an innovative mindset with the ability to think ‘outside the box’ and uphold strong service orientation
  • Previous experience working with and reporting from HR information systems
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships internally and with vendors
  • Exemplifies our Guiding Principles of partnership, integrity, and high performance
