We’re looking for an outstanding people person who is curious and analytical with superb communication skills to join our People Operations (HR) team as a People Operations Partner. In this position, you will take on full-cycle human resources including employee relations, onboarding, training and development, succession planning, and performance management within our Canadian Commercial business unit. You have the skills to build strong working relationships with functional leaders and are a role model for values and behaviors critical to success in our organization.

You will be based out of our Toronto office. We love our office and the setting it provides for celebration and collaboration. But we also appreciate the opportunity to work remotely that can energize you too, so we do offer flexible arrangements.

What you'll do:

  • Be the first point of contact in People Operations relating to full-cycle human resources
  • Facilitate the Mentorship program for high potential talent
  • Lead the semi-annual succession and Talent Management planning process for your client group
  • Maintain compliance with various employment legislation applicable to each province, including a manufacturing environment (i.e. Occupational Health & Safety, ESA, AODA, etc.)
  • Work with functional leads to build headcount allocations and organizational design changes
  • Support the facilitation and development of training programs within the Canadian Commercial teams
  • Be a trusted advisor and coach! Proactively cultivate and maintain positive employee relations, and innovate and empower an entrepreneurial culture through team-building events

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of dynamic HR experience
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, HR, or related
  • Certified Human Resources Professional designation is an asset
  • Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred
  • The ability to speak and write in French is a bonus
