In this role, you will be primarily responsible for advising leaders and human resources colleagues on the interpretation of policies, collective agreements, legislation (e.g. Human Rights Code, Canada Labour Code, etc.) and other terms and conditions of employment to ensure that all relevant obligations of the Corporation under legislation, collective agreements and policies are met.

This position may be based at any of our offices : St-Catharines, Ont., Cornwall, Ont., Brossard, Que. or St-Lambert, Que. 

Also,  Human Resources Services serve an English-speaking and French-speaking clientele so the person chosen must be bilingual.

Role

The Human Resources Programs Officer translates business requirements into various Human Resources strategies, projects, programs, and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop and recommend sound HR plans, programs and procedures, specifically in the areas of performance management, succession and career planning, training and development, recruiting and staffing, organizational management, health and disability management and labour relations.
  • Lead initiatives and projects, from design through to implementation.
  • Prepare recommendations, reports and presentations for various committees.
  • Establish measures to ensure consistency in various HR practices in area of responsibility.
