Summary of Position:
Responsible for the design and delivery of all training programs, inclusive of onboarding, back to basics, leadership, and other strategic training initiatives, with measurement of same. Assessing training needs and building strategy to deliver both technical and leadership training is essential to this role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop Onboarding Process for ALL employees across the Group of Companies, with a focus on Sales
Coordinate all training activities within the Onboarding Program onsite/virtual for remote locations
Partner with Department Heads to design and deliver on department specific orientation
Build and develop management training programs for front line Management
Management of training budget
Set training calendars
Respond to ad hoc requests for training, i.e. Computer skills
Manage any vendor relations that deliver inhouse training
Partner with business leaders to assess training needs.
Partner with HR team on talent assessment processes to support overall competency building
Measure training success by tracking all training completion, certifications
Initiate communication and complete check-in process with all new employees – evaluating 30-day reviews to consider further training requirements, by individual
Build best practice processes for continuous improvement
Work with sales leaders & district managers to set and achieve stretch goals and objectives, communicate, and measure same, and where not achieving, evaluate training solutions for improvement
Partnered with HR, team, assist district managers with individual training needs to assist with performance improvements (Individual Development Plans)
Develop and lead customer service training to achieve exceptional customer experience, communicate and measure
Lead training discussions in both Sales and HR meetings
Develop training methodologies that work best by individual teams or by content
Develop ad hoc training as approved by SMT
Participate with HR Team meetings/discussion on training improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:
Experience with Sales/Distribution business or similar required
Education in Training/Human Resources
3-5 years in a training role
Exceptional customer service skills
Engaging presentation skills at all levels
Demonstrated results and timelines achievement
Advanced presentation technology skills, i.e. PowerPoint
Ability to lead projects
Demonstrated business acumen
Administratively strong
Experience partnering with multiple teams/team leaders
Must be eligible for travel to remote sites – 20%
Coaching experience an asset
