About this role:

The role is responsible for maintaining and improving employee experience systems across Meridian and subsidiaries. The role is also responsible for providing advisory services and guidance for employee experience systems, programs, and projects as it relates to the technology. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance to employees in the operation and maintenance of the human capital management systems as well as support in report creation and data analysis. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for identifying and supporting the development of mitigation tactics to address troublesome areas related to the technology, system security (user level) and cybersecurity.

 

What you’ll do:

HCM Systems Reporting & Analysis

  • Evaluate requests and maximize tools and technologies to meet the reporting needs of Employee Experience Partners, management, and other departments within the organization
  • Develop and process ad-hoc reports of employee data as required
  • Create and distribute standardized reports as required, making suggestions for report enhancements and automated delivery where appropriate
  • Maintain existing scheduled automations and ensure delivery is completed each cycle
  • Build complex reports to aide in operations and processing with various internal teams
  • Support the Employee Experience teams as needed to provide data analysis support for reporting (i.e.. Scorecards)
  • Acting as a consultant on program and reporting improvements, troubleshooting errors in reports, and building in futureproof solutions

System & Data Maintenance

  • Support various business units and functions to gather and analyze program requirements and process enhancements
  • Act as a key consultant for processes involving EE Data & Systems with a continuous improvement philosophy
  • Responsible for the proactive management of EE data and driving operational excellence by identifying and developing alternative methods for optimizing and streamlining reporting
  • Support the administrators of incentive compensation plans within the ICM environment through troubleshooting and data engineering
  • Support the implementation and rollout of system module add-ons and reporting for system add-ons
  • Support the creation, development and maintenance of a people analytics warehouse
  • Create and maintain an active listing of reports and filters/data items that make up each report to allow for simple identification of updates required as system changes or updates occur
  • Support security and system setup in all HCM systems, including, but not limited to creation of fields, tables, linkages and updating associated reports as appropriate
  • Raise any security or cybersecurity concerns to the Manager and Director and, in their absence, involve IT to provide support as appropriate
  • Support maintenance of integrations between systems as changes occur that may impact data transfer

 

Internal Operations

  • Represent Employee Experience Operations on various special projects / initiatives, leveraging subject matter expertise to contribute to an optimal end product.
  • Consult on Employee Experience technology programs to offer troubleshooting support and to enhance the end user experience
  • Train and provide recommendations to the Employee Experience Operations team on troubleshooting and responding to requests
  • Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
  • Support the Readiness framework, practices and resources by helping to identify and assess change opportunities
  • Coach and train Employee Experience team on both how to use the technology to support programs and get the most out of them, as well as how to analyze data to be used in their own consultation with clients

 

Employee Relations

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all areas of work concerning employee relations.
  • Maintains a high level of communication, interprets Employee Experience policies and provides guidance to employees and managers as needed.
  • Acts as a reliable resource to continually enhance the Employee Experience team’s ability to develop careers, and enhance the overall employee experience at Meridian

 

What you can bring to Meridian:

  • Strong experience in data management and data analytics using tools such as Excel, PowerBI, SQL, etc. 
  • Must be well versed in a variety of computer system environments and be able to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Strong specialized knowledge of all Employee Experience Functions and Compensation policies, limited Payroll policies and procedures, and all relevant legislation and external supplier contracts.
  • Strong client service skills to effectively provide advice to the Employee Experience team and employees
  • Strong proven computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at an advanced level.
  • Proven time management ability and meticulous work habits and record keeping, for duties characterized by frequent change and non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Courteous and professional, with the ability to work as an independent contributor and a positive team member.
  • Commitment to the ongoing enhancement of skills and knowledge supported by a learning environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal or no supervision
