GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND SUMMARY
The Learning & Development Coordinator designs, implements, and maintains relevant course content and programs that foster employee engagement, professional development, and continuous improvement with efficiency and user experience top of mind.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all training intake and employee assistance requests pertaining to Centerra’s learning management system, ensuring an exceptional learner experience.
- Assists in creating and aligning training or development programs to organizational priorities to ensure corporate goals and learning outcomes are achieved.
- Identifies and fills learning and development needs from existing or new materials, and collaborates with stakeholders to create, revise, source, enhance, edit, reformat, and validate content for curation.
- Aids and coordinates having materials translated for use by Centerra locations abroad as necessary.
- Designs and implements integration of relevant content from legacy learning management system(s) or other organizational platforms to the current learning and talent management platform.
- Facilitates effectiveness of online training sessions by serving as a virtual producer as needed.
- Assists in the creation of presentations using various media formats and the maintenance of the training & initiatives calendar so learners have visibility to upcoming training opportunities.
- Adds context and accessibility to content in the learning management system by tagging, ordering, commenting, adding supporting information, documents, links and surveys.
- Conducts content audits and gap analyses to maintain the accuracy and integrity of data, information and training content in the learning management system.
- Monitors, evaluates, and reports on training effectiveness through feedback surveys, learning and development metrics, system usage metrics, and other data to make the case for improvements and/or additional investments.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy and ease of use of the learning management system, with particular attention to user data, learner groups, skills, competencies, goals, badges, and learning journeys.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency with content and communications software including Articulate (Rise, Storyline), Powtoons, Canva, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge and working experience with learning management systems (LMS) required, experience with Bridge a definite asset.
- Previous experience with content creation and management, and database management required.
- Proficiency in executing tasks using effective project management techniques, including managing stakeholder expectations.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive learning & development or human resources experience.
- Experience in designing e-learning content.
