HR Generalist– Human Resources - Full-Time, Permanent – Barrie, ON

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Simcoe County Branch seeks a Human Resources Generalist who, in accordance with the agency’s policies, standards, and guidelines, is responsible for performing full confidential administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer, HR Team Lead, and Human Resources Department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the COO and HR Team Lead including but not limited to: word processing, filing, updating spreadsheets, and other clerical tasks.

  • Prepare monthly statistical reports, gathering and summarizing data.

  • Maintain efficient Human Resource procedures and filing systems.

  • Compose, edit, and prepare letters, forms, memos, and reports, many of which are confidential in nature.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent agency documentation/information.

  • Ensures HR files are up-to-date and contain all relevant information.

  • Ensure staffs receive relevant information in a timely manner. Follow up with new employees on any missing items for their personnel files.

  • Research and draft policies as required.

  • Create job postings upon approval of staffing requirements and assist with the full recruitment and selection process.

  • Ensure all job descriptions are current and up-to-date.

  • Keep manager abreast of any issues or concerns occurring with CMHA employees.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five (5) years combined post-secondary education and experience or,

  • Five (5) years experience directly related to this position.

  • Minimum post-secondary education in Human Resources and CHRP
    designation.

  • Must have access to a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and adequate automobile insurance.

  • Candidates with a proficiency in French strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
