Role Description:

We are seeking a growth-minded,  Director of Talent Acquisition to contribute to the scale-up of our thriving organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of People and Culture, the Director of Talent Acquisition will leverage MaxSold’s branding and develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent to propel our business in North America and beyond. With a strong leadership presence, you will champion a team of highly engaged Recruitment Specialists in creating and implementing strategies that will attract the top talent that MaxSold needs to be a global leader.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Defining and driving the talent acquisition strategy to meet and exceed benchmarks relating to time to fill, time to hire, cost per hire, diversity hiring and hiring manager and candidate satisfaction. Management of the end-to-end recruitment for high-complexity, high-impact,  professional and executive level roles.  Partnering with leaders to understand talent requirements for all functions and working with leadership to address talent gaps and needs.  Maintaining communication with the leadership team to track ongoing hiring needs of their business units. Designing and driving consistent recruitment methodology and processes that support an exceptional candidate experience, from our essential Auction Team to Senior Executive Officers. In partnership with the leadership and HR teams, solidifying MaxSold’s employer branding strategy that promotes employee value and proposition strategy.  Identifying the need, and partnering with external recruitment professionals as required to ensure hiring targets are met. Promoting diversity and inclusion and incorporating best practices in hiring strategies. Providing guidance, training and mentoring to hiring managers on talent acquisition best practices including unbiased assessment practices, interviewing techniques, candidate experience and documentation. Managing, coaching and developing a team of Recruitment Specialists.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field.  10 + years of progressive and proven experience in strategic talent acquisition. Strong experience in building, developing and  leading a team of talented recruitment specialists. Excellent oral and written communication skills including strong presentation skills. Creative problem solver. Able to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams across all business units. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Self motivated and driven by targets.
