HR Coordinator, People, Talent & Vibe

We are recruiting for a full time HR Coordinator, People, Talent & Vibe.  This is a hands-on role in a complex, multi-national organization, best suited for individuals with experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial service environment. The position is an office-based role in our Burlington office (QEW and Burloak Drive).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting into the Director, People, Talent & Vibe, the successful incumbent will support the organization in planning and executing various HR programs and activities, including but not limited to the following:

 

Talent Acquisition, Orientation & Employee Experience

  • Support the overall recruitment process, including but not limited to creating and finalizing job descriptions and job postings, posting job ads, scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens and in-person interviews (as assigned), verifying employment, etc. Administer application testing to candidates Research and recommend sourcing and social media strategies Assist in planning and organizing activities related to onboarding, orientation, and probationary tracking Conduct orientation in collaboration with the director
  • Support employee engagement programs, including pulse check interviews, as assigned

 

Payroll and Benefits

  • Support leave management processes Process payroll in partnership with Finance Manager and in accordance with the established processes Process payment of all third-party vendors for payroll and benefit contracts Support benefits onboarding, and renewal processes 

 

Health and Safety & AODA

  • Support development of health and safety programs to ensure compliance Act as health and safety committee member Review health and safety and AODA requirements

 

Project Support

Provide support for HR programs and projects as assigned. Examples include:

  • Support the development of application tests for identified positions Support the review and revitalization of existing health and safety program Assist with the audit and ensure AODA requirements are being met Assist with and support the revitalization of onboarding and orientation processes Assist in determining training needs and support planning of training programs Assist with ongoing compensation and salary reviews and recommendations Support the leadership development project, as needed Write and update policies for employee handbook in collaboration with director Act as the HR lead on the social committee in the planning and execution of employee engagement events

 

 

Administration

  • Create and maintain employee files Coordinate the weekly Corporate Meeting schedule Update organization charts Complete Stats Canada Surveys Provide employment confirmation letters Other duties as assigned

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management Minimum 2 - 3 years of work experience in an HR role, including recruitment Experience and knowledge processing Canadian payroll considered an asset Knowledge and experience in utilizing social media apps Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database applications Working towards, or completion of HR designation
