Evolugen is looking for a Pensions Specialist to join our People & Culture team. Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, the Pensions Specialist will be responsible for the administration of all pension and retirement programs across multiple business platforms in Canada and creating an exceptional employee experience. Who are you?

You have at least 3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced HR department, responsible for pension and retirement program administration. You have demonstrated knowledge of pension plan legislation, regulatory environment, and compliance. You have the ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and experience working with employees at all levels of an organization.  You have excellent written and oral communication in both English and French.  You’re always ready to take on a challenge, get creative and think outside the box to find the best approach. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for Canadian pension programs and services;
  • Responsible for pension and retirement plan administration; day-to-day administration, communications, pension committee meetings, regulatory filings and audits;
  • Assist in monitoring the shared benefits & pensions mailbox
  • Point of contact for all pension-related questions for both active and retired employees;
  • Liaise with third party pension administration team;
  • Assist with the design and development of pension policies and plans;
  • Support the creation, documentation and improvement of processes;
  • Support organization’s growth strategy in the context of acquisitions.
