WORKPLACE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of diverse and staff-centered programs, frameworks, standards and guidelines for the delivery of employee psychological health and wellbeing services
  • Assist in the implementation of initiatives by engaging stakeholders, planning, championing and delivering best practice wellness initiatives to the system that increase employee engagement and support a wellness culture rooted in our faith
  • Plan, coordinate and execute wellness programs and initiatives across the Board determining required resources, key offerings, delivery mechanism and implementation strategy
  • Develop and apply metrics to assess the impact of the wellness programs and initiatives
  • Create and facilitate evidence-based or evidence-informed leadership and staff training sessions, workshops, coaching and awareness events designed to enhance proactive wellness rooted in our faith
  • Gather and analyze data for trends and cost benefit analysis to support recommendations and opportunities for improvement and report statistical information to Senior Leadership Team
  • Develop and support web resources accessible to staff
  • Prepare and maintain records and databases for all wellness and health promotion programs and initiatives
  • Collaboration with the Employee Support Services Team including EFAP, RWA, EIO and AFA
  • Collaborate in the work of the Wellness Rooted in Faith Committee and liaison the unions and associations as required
  • Support staff wellness with specific attention to wellness during the COVID pandemic return to the workplace

Qualifications:

  • Ability to navigate the complexities of providing staff wellbeing programing in a Catholic school board
  • Experience working in a large, fast-paced, multi-union organization, preferably in the education sector;
  • Knowledge of evidence-based and evidence-informed occupational health and wellness program principals, theories and best practices specifically in the areas of, staff wellbeing, health promotion strategies and adult education
  • Significant experience in learning and development including adult learning principles, design processes, blended learning techniques, as well as web based and social learning;
  • Experience in working with outcome metrics as a means of evaluation and performance management;
  • Demonstrated talent for building relationships, fostering collaboration, leading transformational change;
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written including strong facilitation and teaching skills with the ability to present to small and large audiences
  • Proven project coordination skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain meaningful partnerships
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage one’s time in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Strong Coaching and mentoring skills with a proven track record of developing high performing teams and leaders;
  • In depth knowledge of organizational development frameworks, technologies, and processes;
  • Well developed knowledge and understanding of organizational development, change management, employee engagement, and organizational design;
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, designing and developing and delivering learning and engagement programs and initiatives;

Educational Qualifications: 

A relevant degree in Human Resources, Social work, Organizational Design, Organizational Psychology or related field;

Registration with provincial college governing mental health professionals preferred

Experience:

Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of school board or related experience in a similar, relevant environment

Wellness Program development experience required.
