Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) partners with our Pharmacy Leadership team in Ontario. This role provides proactive HR guidance and advice to build organizational capability, enhance employee experience as well as support the achievement of the business objectives. Working as part of an HR team, this position provides advice and guidance to all stakeholders on strategic, tactical, and operational HR issues within an assigned client group.

Your Day To Day 

  • This role provides consultation and expertise in all facets of HR including, employee and labour relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, retention, talent management, grievance and arbitration management, compliance, employee engagement, health and safety, and change management.
  • Advising the client group on performance management and compensation related efforts including compensation planning and guidance on performance feedback.
  • Participating in attracting and recruiting the right talent to support the region.
  • Providing strategic support for the business by partnering in talent management initiatives to support employee engagement, succession planning, and development.
  • Consulting and providing support with corrective actions, employment or labour relations investigations.
  • Partnering with business leaders to provide guidance on Health and Safety, WSIB, Non-Occupational and Disability Management that is consistent with the organization’s policies and legislation.
  • Participate in aspects of collective bargaining.
  • Driving communication to facilitate the change management process throughout the organization and coaching leaders and employees to assist in understanding and supporting new initiatives and changes.
  • Supporting HR initiatives by leading and driving special projects from concept to roll-out across the organization.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices and participating in the development of solutions to address gaps and risks.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of the HRMS to provide support and advice to the client group on payroll, recruitment, onboarding, performance management and compensation issues.
  • Travel is required on a regular basis as the client group is located throughout Ontario.

Please note: this position requires regular travel to various locations within Ontario - East and North of the Greater Toronto Area

What You Bring To The Team

  • University degree or College Diploma with a CHRP designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience in a multi-site environment.
  • Working knowledge of relevant labour and employment legislation, current HR best practices and the ability to use knowledge proactively in consulting with the client group.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to travel within Ontario.
  • Experience in collective bargaining is an asset.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
