Human Resources Specialist (Temporary, Full-time)

Duration: Approximately 12 to 18 months

Location: Peterborough, ON (Hybrid Work Arrangement)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be:

  • Specializing in the internal and external full cycle recruitment and selection process
  • Providing human resources related assistance to both managers and employees in the branches and at head office
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of human resource related policies and procedures
  • Conducting and reporting on retention and exit interviews
  • Responsible for maintaining Kawartha’s positive public reputation and brand
  • Demonstrate Kawartha's values
  • Working with a Human Resources Information System

Qualifications Required:

  • Post-secondary education with emphasis in Human Resource Management
  • Three years experience in recruitment and selection
  • Completion of the Certified Human Resources Professional designation and working towards Certified Human Resources Leader designation
  • Must be able to keep strict confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office products
  • Occasional travel may be required
