Carquest Canada is a division of Advance Auto Parts, making us a part of the largest aftermarket parts provider in North America.  We are looking for a creative, results orientated Bilingual Recruiter to join our dynamic Human Resources team. About the Position:

The Bilingual Recruiter executes staffing strategies and supports initiatives/programs within the Talent Acquisition function that will improve the overall talent level and bench strength within Worldpac locations and Carquest Canada stores, corporate and supply chain organizations. Responsibilities include sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates in consistent partnership with HR Managers/Directors and Hiring Managers. This position will also consult with business partners to create new and enhanced recruiting and selection processes and tools that will attract, select and retain a qualified and diverse workforce.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for management of recruiting activity for all of Canada, including posting open positions nationally, internally through the HR System, WorkDay and to job posting sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, Colleges etc).
  • Works with leaders to determine position requirements and define candidate qualifications.
  • Identifies sources and implements creative strategic recruitment plans for hourly distribution center recruiting, management roles, corporate sales and retail positions as required.
  • Phone screen candidates and schedule interviews for hiring managers.
  • Develop talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Act as a Workday SME, assisting managers with the hiring process and training as needed.
  • Manage the background check process, following up with candidates as required ensuring successful completion.
  • Utilizing social media, professional networks, colleges/universities and career fairs to source qualified candidates.
  • Manage the on-boarding process for new hires.

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills in French/English required
  • Knowledge of staffing best practices and hands-on experience sourcing candidates (eg. Recruiting on social platforms)
  • Strong strategic planning and forecasting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates
  • Workday experience an asset
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field
  • 3-5 years progressive recruiting experience, with at least 1 year of hourly warehousing and retail experience
