Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing a wide-range of human resource needs, with a heavy emphasis on recruitment. The Human Resources Generalist will work directly with all levels and will become a trusted source for all HR policies, programs and processes.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in a variety of human resources activities
  • Play an active role in recruitment for a range of roles (pipelining in anticipation of open roles, preparing job postings, scheduling, interviewing, references checks and offer letters)
  • Champion the onboarding process for all new hires from our HRIS system, BambooHR; including orientation, and scheduling 
  • repare HR metrics and data reporting to support decision-making and run ad hoc reports as required
  • Coordinate the benefits administration plans and the enrolment of team members
  • Assist in the development of people retention strategies, including team member recognition programs
  • Assist with the development and coordination of wellness programs
  • Manage vacation requests and reconciliations
  • Review, revise and develop policies and on-going enhancements to the People Policy Guide
  • Provide internal training, and keep team members apprised of outside courses
  • Coordinate firm events and take an active role on the Fun Committee and Campus Recruitment Committee
  • Keep abreast of best industry practices


  • Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in human resources with a focus on recruitment
  • Experience in a professional services environment is a strong asset
  • Certification or currently pursuing the CHRP designation
  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to grasp new software systems easily
  • Proactive with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to be a strong ambassador for the firm
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented with strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to create highly trusted relationships and interact with different levels across the firm
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment
