In this role:

  • You will support the execution of Human Resources (HR) initiatives at our Brantford, Ontario location

    You will be part of an HR team supporting the business, HR Business Partner, HR Operations and Centers Of Expertise (COEs) in all aspects of HR, to ensure successful delivery of HR programs and initiatives across the Canadian organization

  • You will have the opportunity to be involved in employee relations, onboarding, talent management, leadership development, change management, performance management, workforce planning and disability management

  • You will lead full cycle recruiting in Canada to meet current and future business needs by utilizing a wide array of recruiting means including consultation to business, developing sourcing strategies, developing referrals, networking, and developing a communication plan to prospective candidates and the hiring managers.

  • You will prioritize the urgency of requisitions through consultation with the business and HRBP while building pipelines of qualified candidates for critical roles. SC Johnson seek to hire the best and diverse talent to help the business achieves it goals to be at work for a better world.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aligns with HR Operations team and the COEs to support the consistent execution of HR policies, initiatives, and approaches within the Brantford location

    Resolves HR operational issues

  • Supports change management programs and initiatives and onboarding

  • Supports disability management process and managing WSIB cases

  • Supports employee engagement initiatives and cultural programs

  • Works on special projects and related duties, as assigned

  • Works with the HR team in ensuring compliance with local law and regulations

  • Works with the HR team on delivery of Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness programs such as Performance Management Process (PMP), Management Succession and Development process (MS&D), Great Places to Work® (GPTW) Survey, Global Employee Opinion Survey (GEOS)

  • Conducts full lifecycle recruiting including sourcing, pre-screening and partner hiring managers through to hire

  • Candidates are our consumers: provide a high-quality experience for every potential candidate through effective communication, respect and consistent follow-through with our hiring process

  • Keeps current of market trends and use this expertise to drive recruitment expectations as well navigate potential complex searches

  • Works closely with Global and NA Talent Acquisition (TA) leadership and TA/HR teams to drive adoption of new systems and process changes

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

    Bachelor's Degree (essential requirement) ideally in HR, Business Administration, Management, Human Relations or a related discipline

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related HR/TA experience

  • Advanced knowledge of HR principles and practices of HR functions and applicable laws / regulations in Ontario

  • Ability to interact with colleagues of all levels

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and prioritize work appropriately

  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of change and manage multiple priorities concurrently through project management, systems knowledge, and effective communication

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

  • Previous experience in full cycle recruitment and selection

  • Experience leading expectations of partners, in HR and business leadership roles

  • Exhibit a passion for diversity and have a track record of generating creative ideas to bring diverse hires to an organization

  • Tech forward mentality and experience working in both ATS, Video Interviewing systems

  • Self-driven and strategic in thought processes

  • Highly collaborative, experience working in or with a highly matrixed governance mode

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES/COMPETENCIES

  • Certified HR Professional (CHRP or CHRL) designation or working towards
  • Previous experience with Workday®, LinkedIn and HireVue
  • Previous experience supporting a Commercial business group and/or manufacturing environment
