McGovern Hurley is looking to welcome a Director of Human Resources to join their team. This role is full time and it provides the opportunity for a flexible/hybrid work arrangement with requirements to being in-office as needed!

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a human resources strategy and set goals related to the objectives, as well as work with the Firm/Partners to execute the strategy
  • Facilitate Partner/Manager and employee relations by addressing requests, complaints and other concerns in a timely manner
  • Oversee and manage a performance management program that drives a high performing culture
  • Design, maintain, and execute a Firm-wide total compensation and benefits structure
  • Conduct and analyze stay interviews, exit interviews and seek other forms of feedback
  • Ensure the Firm is legally compliant by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources legislative requirements, conduct investigations, and maintain records/updates 
  • Design and facilitate a comprehensive training and development program 
  • Coach and develop direct reports on the Human Resources team Develop and implement the departmental budget Maintain the Human Resources Management System (HRMS), leveraging its abilities to further Firm HR initiatives
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting development to providing offers of employment
  • Perform other tasks/duties as assigned by Partners

What you will need to succeed:

  • Graduate of a University or College Program in Human Resources Management
  • Completion of CHRL/CHRE designation
  • 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience Previous experience in a public accounting or professional services firm is considered a strong asset
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic objectives In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Ability to make sound business decisions and evidence-based recommendations
  • Ability to build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to have a positive impact on internal business results
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present HR updates and information effectively to Partner groups and/or the Firm
  • Prior experience with an HRMS, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
