The Total Rewards Manager will report to the Chief People Officer and will drive World Vision Canada’s total rewards strategy to ensure they provide a meaningful employee value proposition and excellent employee experience.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

Total Rewards

  • Be an internal expert on all total reward matters. Analyze, recommend, and implement compensation and benefits best practices, trends and cost-effective programs that are relevant and meaningful for World Vision Canada and various staff demographics – including regular review external market data and participation in market surveys. Analyze staff feedback and retention data to ensure current total rewards programs are meeting staff needs and providing a meaningful employee value proposition. Ensure total reward program compliance with legislative & governing body requirements. Lead staff communication and campaigns regarding total reward programs and changes.

 

Compensation

  • Champion a meaningful & equitable compensation program including pay-for-performance and pay equity in alignment with organizational values and strategic objectives. Champion the Job Evaluation Team – conduct evaluations for new/updated roles, consult with external data and internal experts to ensure evaluation is informed & relevant. Establish & maintain job family, title & description guidelines. Partner with Budgeting team to prepare salary budget. Partner with Finance team to ensure payroll and audit compliance.

 

Benefits/Pension/Wellness/Staff Care

  • Oversee benefits administration for all employee life cycle changes. Champion benefits & pension vendor & broker relationships, conduct vendor assessments. Champion staff care & wellness programs to ensure staff feel cared for and supported including oversight of employee assistance program, disability management program, and discounts/perks.

  

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or other related field; Master’s level and/or post-graduate studies preferred. Compensation and/or Benefits & Pension certification. 7+ years of experience in facilitating a meaningful total rewards program. Technical knowledge in HRIS systems (Workday). Strong collaboration, project management & communication skills, experience working in an Agile environment preferred. Strong analysis, critical thinking, problem solving, and discretion with highly confidential and sensitive personnel information.
