In business since 1990, TNT Foods International is a family-owned poultry processing business serving retail, wholesale and food service customers.
The Plant Recruiter is accountable for meeting TNT Foods’ staffing needs for hourly plant positions. This is a six (6) month contract with the possibility of an additional six months.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the recruitment and selection process for TNT Foods hourly employees Hires plant workers by continuously identifying sources of new candidates - job ads, referrals, associations, educational facilities, government agencies Maintains all documentation and metrics associated with the recruitment process Manages the weekly new hire orientation program and related administration Leads plant tours for candidates, following all appropriate H&S, QA and COVID protocols Supports the internal employee communication strategy (posting on bulletin boards etc.) Organizes and participates in retention activities and maintains timelines Collaborates with Operations Management to determine placement for new hires Engages with Union in new hire process; communicates with Union rep as needed Other related duties as assigned
Education & Qualifications:
- Diploma or post-secondary education in Human Resource Management Minimum one year of experience in full cycle plant recruitment Proficient in MS Office applications - Excel, Word, Outlook Excellent business judgement and attention to detail Strong communication and organizational skills Team player, takes initiative and works well under pressure Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment Some exposure to cold plant temperatures
