Catholic Family Services (CFSSC) is an accredited charity delivering low-barrier, high-quality mental health services that are available to all residents and employees of Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka. CFSSC is currently looking to fill two vacancies on our Board of Directors to join us in governing the agency's response to the mental health pandemic that has followed on the heels of the medical pandemic in our region.

As a tight-knit group of innovative thinkers, CFSSC's policy governance Board comes together as a group (in person and/or remotely) 8 times per year for 2.5-hour meetings – typically held in early evening; with our staff team and stakeholders at our annual general meeting in September; and for a full-day board retreat for team-building and professional development in December. With committee work, the time commitment for our Directors is typically 3-6 hours per month. Our Board is comprised of volunteer community members with a passion for equitable access to highly professional mental health care for all members of our community.

Established in 1979 as a registered charity, Catholic Family Services of Simcoe County (CFSSC) offers fully inclusive counselling, psychotherapy, and mental wellness programming to all residents and employees of Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka. We are a proud Family Service Ontario member agency and have been accredited for more than a decade. CFSSC works in collaboration with social service agencies across the region, including Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, Canadian Mental Health Association, New Path, MindAid, Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions, Gilbert Centre and many more. We also partner with government, other public sector organizations, and with the business community. Please review our most recent Annual Report for further details (cfssc.ca/annual-report)

Individuals with leadership experience across competencies and perspectives, and those with governance board experience are especially encouraged to apply. Anyone 18+ who lives and/or works in Simcoe Muskoka is eligible. Primarily, we are searching for dedicated volunteers committed to enabling professional, inclusive and accessible mental health and wellness services.
