iGaming Ontario (iGO) is seeking a dynamic Director, Human Resources to provide strategic direction on talent acquisition, succession planning, workforce planning, employee engagement, employee and labour relations, organizational effectiveness and design.  In this new role, you will build and grow an HR Team to support HR strategy and functions across this innovative organization. 

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will: partner with the senior leadership team to develop iGO’s people strategy by effectively building organizational capability to achieve iGO’s strategic goals, develop and execute agency-wide HR programs, projects, initiatives and systems to support business objectives and oversee the daily operations of HR services, while ensuring best practices and compliance to applicable legislations. 

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: 

  • Ability to develop, build and lead an HR team and organizational capacity through positive and values-based leadership, inclusive and engaged employee teams and partnerships and frame program vision and strategy of services, programs and operations. 
  • Proven ability to determine HR and organizational needs for optimal performance and delivery of results. 
  • Proven and demonstrated experience in exercising managerial and strategic leadership, accountability and authority in the areas of organizational design, recruitment and retention, talent and performance management, labour and employee relations and compensation related matters. 
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong capability to establish and manage effective working relationships with all levels across the organization and with external stakeholders.  
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to perform analysis and utilization of HR analytics, building and reporting on metrics and performance measures. 
  • Demonstrated superior advisory and consulting experience to educate and guide leaders and to recommend innovative, progressive, and practical solutions. 
  • Broad knowledge of legislation relative to the Human Resources field including the Employment Standards Act & Regulations, Ontario Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations, labour relations and pay equity legislation. 
  • Degree in Human Resources or related degree and relevant experience in a senior management capacity. 
  • CHRP, CHRL or CHRE designation is an asset.
