We are seeking an individual who is aligned with our core values and reflects our core competencies to join our Human Resources team as Manager, Human Resources.  This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Position:

Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager works collaboratively with members of the HR Team in the effective implementation of the HR functions including recruitment and onboarding, retention, performance management, recognition, policy development and documentation, HR data management and reporting, employee safety and wellness, communications, and learning and development.  This role requires the Manager to work with a hands-on approach with respect to the daily HR situations that may occur while maintaining to be an active participant in the development and implementation of HR goals and operating plans.

The HR Manager plays an integral role to champion HR initiatives that support Havergal’s talent strategy and enable a collaborative, engaged and high performing culture. The Manager provides management and administrative support in the delivery of various HR projects and initiatives, being a key partner in designing, documenting, communicating and implementing processes, procedures, and programs to support the human resources needs of the business and the strategic initiatives of the School. The Manager must have a very high degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees, including tact and discretion to handle sensitive and confidential matters.

The HR Manager stays informed of competitive management practices and new developments, ensuring the School’s HR policies and programs are designed to attract and retain highly diverse employees while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
