Summary of responsibilities:
The Analyst, Human Resources is responsible for providing expert level reporting and analytics that support various HR programs and initiatives. This role will gather data across our HR tools and systems and generate dashboards and reports to help derive proactive insights and predictive metrics in order to tell the story and assist in making better data-driven decisions. In addition, they will be responsible for the management and monitoring our HRIS. This includes the collection and analysis of data as well as the maintenance, security, integrity, processing, and reporting of the data and information in the HRIS. The Analyst, Human Resources performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed:
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduated from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Human Resources, Business Administration or another speciality relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of two years (2) of progressive experience in using data management and business intelligence tools to design and create HR reports & dashboards with demonstrated knowledge applying analytical methodology.
- Excellent technical data management skills and proficiency in SQL coding and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, developing complex calculations and audit data for inconsistencies.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with experience in creating complex formulas and analyzing large sets of data in Excel.
- Previous experience using HRIS systems, familiarity with Dayforce is an asset.
- Experience with total rewards programs and process is considered an asset.
- Must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to think conceptually, analyze data, identify and effectively communicate trends and report.
Valuable skills include:
- Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or equivalent.
- Experience supporting the development and delivery of programs, policies and procedures in a human resources environment.
- Knowledge of the principles, theories and current trends and practices in the field of human resources.
- Knowledge of applicable legislative requirements that govern human resource management.
- Ability to use HRIS systems and extract data using existing reports.
Specific work requirements:
- Ability to work overtime as required;
- Ability to travel as required;
- Language profile: CBCC;
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance;
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
