The Bilingual (French) Human Resources Generalist provides direction and support to plant-based employees and managers by providing timely and accurate information in the areas of HR policy and procedures.
The position holder also provides support and training for annual HR processes e.g. safety training, annual review, and is responsible for ensuring that employees are able to access HR services as required.
The role has a primary aim of supporting all employee related activity for Supply Chain operations within Canada.
Major/Key Accountabilities
- Direct support to the Canadian Operations Team nationally, ensuring standardization across locations, training as needed, and developing programs to continue to drive engagement and reduce turnover
- Act as the first point of contact for all employees with regards to HR queries and where applicable direct interaction with the HR Operations team
- Provide day-to-day administration of HR policies and programs and ensure that they are effectively communicated to all employees
- Provide support to managers on employee related queries, including terminations, escalating to Manager, Employee Relations as needed
- Provide support to regional Recruitment as required
- Ensure smooth delivery of on-boarding, training and compliance initiatives
- Provides support and training of annual HR processes including PDP, ASR, Talent Reviews and Pulse Surveys
- Partner with Centres of Expertise (COE) to support Reward and Talent & Learning initiatives with managers and employees
- Perform analyses and provide recommendations for bonus/off cycle reviews
- Provide relevant metrics, reporting and analysis to HRBP
- Executing of HR Strategy
Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or in a relevant Human Resources technical discipline
- Desirable: Post graduate qualifications in business or related disciple
Experience
- 2-5 years related experience in Human Resources, preferably with Operations
- Proven experience in administration and explanation of HR policies and procedures
- Experience with end user customer support and training
- Experience of HR systems, Workday an asset
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated experience interacting with employees (plant-based) and management at all levels and providing excellent customer service
- Customer service focused
